Daft Punk - Tron legacy soundtrack review

If your not super pumped about the new Tron movie coming out then im pretty sure i hate you.

And if by some terrible miracle the aspect of a new Tron movie isn't enough to excite you then perhaps the notion of cyber punk legends Daft Punk making a cameo in the movie as well as writing the sound track for it will be enough to get your inner nerd excited.


If Daft Punk never came to be in the first place then someone would have had to invent them to create the Tron legacy soundtrack the two go together like butter and toast.

Daft Punks sound track has created quite the buzz in the musical community with people stunned by its revolutionary way of approaching a soundtrack.

Deadmau5 "4x4=12" review

this was supposed to be Deadmau5' break through album but unfortunately it has turned out to be anything but. Now don't get me wrong i am a Deadmau5 die hard, in my eyes the quirky canadian dj can do no wrong, there is nothing wrong with "4x4=12" theres just something not quite right about it.

Deadmau5 wont do enough in this album to create mainstream ripples, and he hasn't  been quite as adventurous as the Deadmau5 faithful would have hoped. We do see glimpses of exploration as Deadmau5 tries his hand at dubstep in "raise your weapon" but his efforts are left wanting.

little al's festival tips

tip 1 - plan
just about the only instance where i will openly promote responsibility and deep thought. Check out the set times if you've not looked at a list of a festivals headliners, got all excited about seeing them and then missed one or two of them because of schedule clashes then chances are you've not been to a music festival.
or at least not a very good one.

tip 2 - diversify
dont be afraid to leave halfway through a popular dj's set just to find yourself 5 minutes later with a hotdog in your hand grooving away to some unbeknownst disc jockey in a close to empty tent. most artists are there for a reason dont let the size of a crowd decide who you've spent your money on.
furthermore dont be afraid to delve into the realms of different styles of music, the experience of listening to music at a festival is different to listening to a song in your car or on the bus.
give trance, dubstep or anything else a chance! if you don't like it then you can kick me in the crotch as hard as you like.

tip 3 - immerse
different festivals have different niches, different cultures if you will. don't be afraid to get down and dirty  the ladies may love your rippling biceps poking out of that trendy new singlet you just bought, and im sure that your sunglasses do add a little bit of a mysterious feel to your whole ensemble. but for me its not about what the ladies think, oh no its all about the festival so wear a superman costume, a teletubbies hat, or a morph suit, cover yourself in neon paint and have yourself a good time because damn it you deserve it.

tip 4 - the final tip
there is no tip four its getting rather late and my ability to type is rapidly declining, but i will leave you with some final words

dont not go, the festival experience is a must every time and every one you don't attend is an opportunity missed. so party animal go out there and have yourself a good time!
